N.C. Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program Reopens!
The North Carolina Energy Star Appliance Replacement and Rebate program reopened on Feb. 15.
The program aims to cut consumer’s energy costs by incentivizing them to replace older, less-efficient models, according to a news release.
Appliances such as water heaters, central air conditioners, heat pumps and freezers are available for rebates ranging from $50-$300 in savings.
To qualify, new appliances must be purchased after Jan. 1.
The rebates will be funded through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment act, and are made available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
