Tip of the Week: Cooking Grease

Liquid grease poured down a train will turn into a solid after it cools, and can stick to the inside of your pipes.  Over time it will build up & restrict the flow of water, which could cause raw sewage to back up into your home or to overflow into streets & streams.

The right way to dispose of cooking grease is to pour it into a can & store it in the freezer.  When the can is full, throw it in the garbage...or better yet, give it to a friend to use in their biodiesel car.
