Turn Down the Themostat
| You'll reduce carbon dioxide emissions and save about 1% on your heating bill for each degree you turn down the temperature over an 8 hour period. Set the thermostat to 68 degrees when you're at home. It's safe to turn the heat down to 55 degrees at night and during the day when you're at work, as long as you don't have pets that re sensitive to the cold. (Don't turn it down any lower or your pipes might freeze) |
